About this program
Avion Rewards is RBC's flexible travel currency, earned on RBC Avion Visa cards. It's unusually versatile: redeem through the Air Travel Redemption Schedule (a fixed chart worth up to ~2.3¢ on short- and medium-haul flights), book any travel through the Avion portal at a flat 1¢, or transfer 1:1 to British Airways Avios and Cathay Asia Miles — where premium-cabin awards reach 3–6¢. Avios short-haul oneworld flights are a particular sweet spot, and RBC runs periodic transfer bonuses (e.g. 30% to Avios). Gift cards are middling and merchandise / statement credits are poor — keep Avion points for flights.
